According to belief in this holistic-healing therapy, the recipient receives energy from the practitioner’s hands placed near the body. There are seven chakras of energy: the head, third eye, throat, heart, navel area, lower abdomen and base or last bone in the spinal cord. Under the practice of Reiki, physical and mental healing takes place through the practitioner placing his/her hands above the recipient, in sync with the head and heart chakra. Reiki treats a person’s physical, mental and emotional disorder and thereby provides tranquility and well-being. In distance reiki practice, practitioners use symbols from a distance to form a temporary connection between the practitioner and the recipient.
Quantum touch technique is another powerful energy healing technique. Here, the practitioners use meditation, visualization, and some breathing exercises to energize the recipient. This healing technique helps to reduce pain, liver enzymes, muscular skeletal disorders and also improves metabolism.
Polarity therapy, developed by Randolph Stone is based on touch, verbal interaction, exercise, nutrition, and other methods. This energy-boosting therapy can be utilized to treat conditions like migraines, menopausal problems, digestive disorders, back pain and chronic fatigue syndrome.
Emotional Freedom Technique, also known as EFT, is a form of psychotherapy which works like emotional acupuncture and helps in releasing the negative beliefs and emotions. Since this method involves tapping of the practitioner’s fingertips on the patient’s body, it is also known as EFT tapping therapy. This technique was created by Gary Craig, and is based on the same basis as acupuncture.
